Gutters & downspouts

Gutters are part of the roof system: they take everything the shingles shed and move it away from the foundation. We replace sagging or rusted-through runs, add downspouts where one is doing the work of two, and set the pitch so water actually reaches the outlet instead of standing in the middle of the run.

Failing gutters announce themselves as trenches in the mulch, ice dams at the eaves, and damp basement corners. If yours pour over at the corners in a hard rain, it's worth fixing before freeze-thaw season turns an annoyance into real damage.
